Bio

In Canon

Background:Yuui had a twin named Fai, twins born in Celes, who were believed to be the harbingers of misfortune. Their father died of an illness shortly after their birth and their mother followed him by committing suicide, unable to bear with the knowledge that she had given birth to twins. They were condemned to the valley of sinners by their uncle because of this. They stayed there for an unknown amount of time, frozen bodies of criminals, and eventually innocents, being thrown at the bottom where Fay was, and Yuui in the top of the tower. At the time the king went insane Fei Wong Reed contacted both of the twins in order to grant his own wish. Yuui requested Fay be set free.

Personality: Not much is known about his personality in TRC, but in Horitsuba ( a little more is known), he is shown as the more mellow twin. Happy, but not as outgoing or hyper as Fay. He likes cooking and is good at it. He cares deeply for his brother and would rather stand back and let him be happy. He also plays the piano.

In Game

Yuui lived with his mother and Fay, his twin brother. Though his mother worked a lot to try and accommodate the needs of the family, she also spent a lot of time teaching Fay and Yuui all she knew (Yuui excelling in the kitchen). She told them stories of their father in their child hood, about how he was a very good sheriff. Yuui was also very close to his older twin brother, helping him get back up on his feet when he fell and helping him when Fay needed it.

As they got older Yuui started noticing differences in his brother and came to worry about it as the town started to shun him. There were days where he would tail him to see what happened to him when he was alone. One day though, when they were 14, he had gone out to run some errands for their mother instead of tailing his twin like he normally would. He had heard the fight, but didn't think much of it since he was close to the local bar. Still, he was curious when looking into the windows of the bar it looked empty. After seeing that, he went to go and try to break up the fight to help his brother. The fight seemed like it was over after that, so Yuui tried to do what he could for his brother.

After that, Fay went missing, worrying Yuui. He took up a job at the bar to try and help their mother, worried about her well-being ever since Fay left them. A couple years after he starting working their mother passed away, leaving Yuui alone in the house. Shortly after, the owner of the bar decided to retire, leaving the bar in Yuui's hands.
